Opel Vivaro Electric is not only an all-rounder that fits almost every application profile, it is also the perfect business card for companies – even more so as the stylish new Opel Vivaro Electric Sportive, which can be ordered now. With its characteristic design details, it becomes an eye-catcher on every work trip. In addition, the 4.98 metre long and around 1.90 metre high van, which is therefore fully suitable for underground parking, offers numerous packages with many technology and comfort features as standard in this special edition. Opel Vivaro Electric Sportive is equipped with a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor and 75 kWh battery and can be ordered as a panel van for €48,500 and as a double cab from €51,500 (all prices RRP excl. VAT in Germany).

Van becomes a design statement: ‘Sporty’ styling details

From the outside, the ‘Sportive’ attracts attention with its characteristic vehicle stickers. The sporty black stripes with yellow highlight on the bonnet extends to the Opel Vizor brand face. There, standard LED headlights and LED daytime running lights ensure the best visibility. Bumpers, door handles and the sliding door rail trim are painted in the body colour, the side mouldings and the exterior mirror caps are black. The pattern, which runs along the sides to the rear wheel arches, reflects the sporty striped design of the bonnet. The 17-inch alloys of Opel Vivaro Electric Sportive underline the high-quality look. In the interior both the dashboard and the door panels are held in black.

Dynamic Surround View and navigation system: Numerous packages as standard

Numerous additional packages that are already included as standard represent another advantage for Vivaro Electric Sportive drivers. With many technical and comfort details, they make daily commutes easier, safer and more relaxed.

‘Sight & Light’ package with fog lights and electrically adjustable, heated and folding exterior mirrors not only increases safety, but also practical use with a 12-volt socket in the glove compartment and on the D-pillar on the driver's side. The ‘Sportive’ comes with a highlight in the ‘Dynamic Surround View’ package with the digital rearview mirror. The system consists of two cameras, one above the rear doors and the other under the passenger side mirror. The images captured by the cameras are displayed on the digital screen. While driving, the driver can see the area behind the rear of the Vivaro. When the indicator is activated, the driver can also see the normally lateral blind spot on the passenger side. Compared to conventional mirrors, the system offers a better, more comprehensive overview.

Entire cockpit is designed to be highly ergonomic. With the ‘Connect Nav’ package, Vivaro Electric Sportive drivers have the high-quality IVI high audio system. Routes can be planned using the navigation system with a 10-inch touchscreen. In addition, the digital, colour 10-inch driver information display provides all important information. Features included in the ‘Comfort’ package such as the two-zone automatic climate control, the inductive charging cradle for wirelessly charging compatible smartphones, the keyless system and the heated leather steering wheel also offer car-level comfort. The ‘Winter’ package with seat heating for all seats in the front row also increases the feel-good factor on cold days.

In the panel van and double cab, the height-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and armrest makes the journey even more relaxing. FlexCargo double passenger seat, which is also standard in the ‘Sportive’ panel van, expands the loading space with its through-loading function. And the rear compartment itself has enhanced LED lighting.

No compromises: One tonne payload and 352 kilometres range

Opel Vivaro Electric Sportive is not only well equipped and stylish – it is also locally emissions-free. With its 75 kWh battery, it enables ranges of up to 352 kilometres between charging stops (WLTP 1). And if the electric transporter needs additional energy, it can be quickly charged with alternating current using the standard three-phase 11 kW onboard charger. At a 100 kW direct current fast charging station, a “break stop” of around 45 minutes is necessary to charge to 80 percent of the battery capacity. With all of this, the commercial vehicle all-rounder makes no compromises as a load carrier: Opel Vivaro Electric panel van offers up to 5.8 cubic meters of loading volume and up to one tonne of payload.

[1] Range determined according to WLTP test procedure methodology (R (EC) No. 715/2007, R (EU) No. 2017/1151). The actual range can vary under everyday conditions and depends on various factors, in particular on personal driving style, route characteristics, outside temperature, use of heating and air conditioning and thermal preconditioning.

‘SMARTBEST 2025’: Opel wins AUTOBEST Award for ChatGPT

  • Top connectivity: International jury of experts honours Stellantis brands for the introduction of ChatGPT in their vehicles
  • Extensive line-up: ChatGPT now available in most Opel passenger cars and LCVs
  • Easy access: ChatGPT activated by a simple “Hey Opel”

Opel makes top technologies accessible and affordable for everyone. This has also been recognised by the high-profile international AUTOBEST jury. The journalists from more than 30 countries have now awarded Opel and other Stellantis brands unanimously with the ‘SMARTBEST 2025’ for the introduction of ChatGPT 1 in their models. The award recognises pioneering solutions for onboard connectivity in vehicles.

“We are delighted to receive this award,” said Vanessa Repp, Vice President Future Product at Opel and Vauxhall. “The unanimous vote of the independent journalists shows that we offer vehicles with pioneering technologies that make driving more enjoyable and that at the same time customers can afford. This applies to locally emissions-free electric drives as well as intelligent connectivity solutions such as ChatGPT 1.”

With ChatGPT 1 Opel drivers and passengers have access to a wide range of information from a long list of topics including science, biology, nutrition, pop culture, music and many more. In combination with the navigation system, a "Hey Opel" is sufficient to use natural speech recognition – which has now become even more desirable thanks to the addition of ChatGPT 1. The system can now learn and independently suggest destinations and route guidance based on the habits of the linked driver profile.

Opel is currently rolling out ChatGPT 1 in the new Opel Mokka as well as in many other models like the new Opel Grandland, the Opel Corsa, the Opel Astra, the Opel Astra Sports Tourer, the Opel Combo and the Opel Zafira. Furthermore, the Opel Combo and the Opel Vivaro light commercial vehicles are also available with the artificial intelligence chatbot.

[1] This new service uses the power of generative artificial intelligence including the technologies of the SoundHound Chat AI platform. Version 3.5 of ChatGPT uses data dating back to January 2022 at the latest, and therefore has no knowledge of events and data after that date.

Opel LCV Range: New-Generation Combo, Vivaro and Movano Revealed

  • New look: LCV models also with characteristic Opel Vizor brand fascia
  • New work space: Refreshed cockpits with up to 10-inch colour touchscreens
  • New electric drivetrains: Class-leading driving range

Opel announced that it will introduce new generations of its Combo compact, Vivaro mid-size and Movano large-size Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV). Each model will feature new exterior styling and a redesigned cockpit, while battery-electric versions will continue to offer class-leading driving range. In addition, German brand announced that new Opel Movano will also be available as a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in near future.

Upcoming light commercial vehicle models from brand with Blitz will be immediately recognisable thanks to new, LCV-specific interpretation of Opel Vizor brand fascia familiar from Opel’s newest passenger cars. Vizor integrates brand emblem with signature front lighting systems, creating a single visual unit that stretches fully across face of vehicle.

In addition to exterior design, interiors of new Opel Combo, Vivaro and Movano have undergone further development. Highlights of refreshed cockpits will include new wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-compatible infotainment systems with colour touchscreens up to 10 inches in size.

Battery-electric versions of new Opel Combo, Opel Vivaro and Opel Movano will continue to offer uncompromised usability similar to that of respective combustion engine variants. Thanks to state-of-art battery technologies and enhancements such as further improved drivetrain efficiency, all three will therefore continue to offer class-leading, locally emissions-free battery-electric range.

New range of Opel light commercial vehicles will carry over all strengths of their predecessors. These include a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems to make journeys and manoeuvring more comfortable and above all safer. Furthermore, the trio will be available in various lengths, heights and body types to meet all professional needs, and they will maintain their convincing load volumes, payloads and towing capacities. Opel will reveal more details about the individual vehicle lines in the coming weeks.

Perfect Fit: Stylish Decor Sets for Opel Vivaro and Opel Zafira Life

  • Opel Vivaro Sportive: All-rounder with car-like qualities gets sporty look
  • Expressive: Decal set turns flexible Opel Zafira Life into a racy lounge on wheels
  • Style down to the last detail: Decors for bi-colour wheels in characteristic Opel yellow

Opel Vivaro-e Sportive

Opel Vivaro is a true all-rounder: practical, flexible and modern with driver assistance systems at passenger car level. From now on it also looks especially sporty with the new Opel Vivaro Sportive decor set. Especially the dynamic, all-electric Opel Vivaro-e, whose 260 Newton metres of torque is available from the first squeeze of the accelerator. Strong starts from a standstill are therefore ensured.

Performance has even attracted the attention of racing driver Joachim “Jockel” Winkelhock. Long-time Opel brand ambassador, former F1 driver and winner of Le Mans as well as the DTM took the dynamic Opel Vivaro-e for an emissions-free and almost silent spin around the Hockenheimring racetrack.

Sporty outfits for vans are a tradition in Rüsselsheim

It is no coincidence that the Opel Zafira-e Life as well as the Opel Vivaro and Vivaro-e have acquired a sporty outfit. Opel Vivaro Sport of the previous Vivaro generation was highly popular with customers. So the designers in Rüsselsheim came up with two new decors for the current Vivaro and Zafira-e Life that create a unique, more dynamic look.

Opel Vivaro-e Sportive

Opel Vivaro Sportive decor set is available in silver or black for only €399 in Germany. Customers can order the Expressive decor, which has been specially developed for the Opel Zafira-e Life – also in silver or black – for €449 (all prices in Germany including VAT plus the price for application at the dealership).

!NEW! Opel Insignia Sports Tourer and Opel Vivaro Rescue Vehicles at RETTmobil 2017

  • Mobile command vehicle: Opel Insignia Sports Tourer in fire department outfit
  • Fire department personnel carrier: Opel Vivaro tailored ex works

Mobile HQ: The new Opel Insignia Sports Tourer makes its debut at RETTmobil 2017 as a command vehicle for the fire service.

Opel will show two new emergency service vehicles at the 17th RETTmobil in Fulda. An Insignia Sports Tourer mobile command vehicle and a Vivaro personnel carrier will make their debuts at the international rescue and mobility exhibition. RETTmobil is open to visitors Wednesday through Friday from 09.00CET until 17.00CET. Just like last year, Opel will present its newcomers at booth 505 in tent 5. The expert staff at the Opel stand is ready to inform visitors about the carmaker’s broad portfolio of emergency vehicles and other vehicle conversion options. The emergency service vehicles are made by Opel Special Vehicles in Rüsselsheim.

As fast as the fire department: Opel Insignia Sports Tourer

Eye-catching: In its red and yellow color scheme the new Opel Insignia Sports Tourer is immediately recognizable as a command vehicle for the fire service.

Opel is showing the fire department command vehicle with flagship equipment. The Insignia Sports Tourer comes with a 191 kW/260 hp turbocharged 2.0 liter gasoline engine (NEDC fuel consumption: urban 11.5 l/100 km, extra-urban 7.1 l/100 km, combined 8.7 l/100 km, 199 g/km CO2). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 245 km/h. The Insignia can always transfer its power to the road thanks to its intelligent all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. This is especially important when the roads are wet or snowy.

Furthermore, drivers can enjoy the new 8-speed automatic transmission, which allows them to keep their hands on the steering wheel even in the most dangerous situations. The Sports Tourer is equipped with a special signal system and LED front flashers to ensure that it arrives on site safely. In addition, a tailored equipment carrier in the spare wheel well of the trunk ensures safe storage of radio and fire-fighting related additional equipment.

All aboard: Opel Vivaro for nine fire fighters

Very spacious: Opel Vivaro Combi as crew transportation can accommodate up to nine fire fighters and their equipment.
Elsewhere, Opel will also display their light commercial vehicle bestseller at the RETTmobil. The Vivaro Combi fire department personnel carrier has a gross permissible weight of 2.9 tons and can carry up to nine people. Under the hood it can rely on the 107 kW/145 hp 1.6 BiTurbo (NEDC diesel consumption: urban 6.6 l/100 km, extra-urban 5.4 l/100 km, combined 5.9 l/100 km, 152 g/km CO2). In general, the 5.40 meter long L2 variant of the Vivaro impresses with good driving performance, ample space, a high load capacity and comfort in abundance. Up front, it comes with a three-way adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support along with a double bench-seat. Removable three-seat-benches in the second and third row ensure plenty of knee room – which is especially important for quick ingress and egress. A mesh installed behind the third row of seats protects the fire fighters from equipment stored in the trunk in extreme driving situations.

Just like the Opel Insignia command vehicle the Opel Vivaro is equipped with an LED special signal systems with the obligatory siren. Furthermore it catches other road users’ attention with its front and rear flashers. Thanks to a built-in preliminary radio communication set-up, the fire fighters can connect their various devices individually.

Command center: In the Opel Vivaro Combi the centrally placed controls for the emergency signal system are within easy reach.

The eye-catching signal graphics of both vehicles on display come from design112. The Hessian company has been specialized in special decals for two decades and works closely with Opel Special Vehicles.
