Urgent safety check for ADAM and Corsa delivered since May 2014

Opel/Vauxhall is reaching out to customers of the ADAM and the current Corsa delivered since May 2014. About 8,000 of these vehicles have been manufactured with a steering system part that did not meet specification. To avoid any risk, these cars should not be driven prior to inspection.

As Opel/Vauxhall always puts its customers first, and as this condition concerns their safety, the company is taking immediate action. Opel/Vauxhall is contacting customers via multiple channels. Owners are able to find out by themselves if their vehicle is affected by going to their national Opel website or www.opel.com/recall.html and following the instructions on the website. In case their car is affected, the customer will also be automatically contacted by Opel/Vauxhall.

The company became aware of the condition during routine quality controls at the vehicle production plant. The company is not aware of any accident or injury related to this condition.

Customers who have additional questions can obtain immediate assistance under a hotline number that will be posted as soon as possible on the website.
