On June 4th Opel will be ready: King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands will lead a business delegation visit to Rüsselsheim. Enthroned just one month ago, the royal couple will gather information on the future of the automobile during their working visit to Opel. Participants from the Dutch delegation and Hessian business managers will discuss electric mobility. Focus will be on the Opel Ampera, the first fully electric car suitable for everyday use. For the occasion, an Opel Ampera and the new Cascada convertible will be painted in orange, matching the color of the royal house.

Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann will welcome the royal couple during their visit to Rüsselsheim. The CEO of Opel is looking forward to his celebrity guests, who will be accompanied by Volker Bouffier, Prime Minister of the State of Hesse: "We are honored that the visit to Opel is among one of the first official acts of the new King and Queen. This is also due to Opel’s pioneering role in the development of environmentally friendly drive concepts. Our electric car Ampera is on the Dutch market and already market leader in Europe."
