‘Electric All In’: Opel Simplifies Switch to Electromobility

As the first German manufacturer with a battery-electric version of each model in its portfolio, Opel is making buying an electric vehicle easy, affordable and, above all, worry-free. Customers who buy a battery-electric model like the new Opel Grandland Electric or the new Opel Frontera Electric will now receive numerous services on top. ‘Electric All In’ is the name of the formula that makes the switch to electromobility child’s play and everyday motoring more pleasant. The offer includes services such as an eProWallbox Move for quick charging at home, Opel Connect PLUS pack1 and eight years of mobile charging assistance, roadside assistance and battery guarantee. All customers need to do is download a digital pass online or instore.

At Opel, customers do not just buy their electric vehicle – they are also completely covered by the numerous electric services. With this unique approach, we want to make the switch to electromobility even easier and push the roll-out of this important drive technology,” said Opel CEO Florian Huettl.

Those interested in electric vehicles primarily look at three questions: Is the electric range sufficient for my needs? What about charging time and infrastructure? What does service and maintenance look like for electric models? With the ‘Electric All In’ package, Opel offers the right answer and makes it easier to switch to a battery-electric model:

  • Charging made easy: For quick charging at home, customers receive an eProWallbox Move with numerous intelligent solutions included when purchasing an Opel electric vehicle. Thanks to WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, the wallbox can be controlled remotely via an app and the charging status can be checked at any time. When the electric car needs recharging on longer trips, the included Charging Pass ensures problem-free charging at more than 850.000 public charging points in Europe.

  • Connectivity: Emergency calls4 and breakdown calls4 are included, as are numerous Opel Connect PLUS services1. They range from e-Remote control, which can be used to check the charging status and battery level of the vehicle or program the air conditioning using the myOpel app, to remote control functions such as remotely locking the doors or switching on the lights, to live navigation with real-time information about charging stations, parking spaces, e-ROUTES app and much more.

  • Reassuring security: Customers can also enjoy peace of mind when it comes to the battery life of their electric vehicle. Opel offers an eight-year guarantee on the vehicle battery. And if the vehicle needs mobile charging or roadside assistance5 during this period, Opel will also provide on-site support.

With ‘Electric All In’, which will initially be launched in Germany, Spain and Belgium with other markets to follow, Opel offers a complete package for electric car drivers that protects customers and increases the joy of electromobility. With this package nothing stands in the way of switching to one of the numerous battery-electric Opel models.
